Hello Bulldog Family. Hope all is well, and everyone is staying safe.

We would like to briefly give you an update on what we currently can in regard to the Tackle and Flag Season as we have heard that some information what sent out that is inaccurate and was sent out prematurely. My apologies for an inconvenience this may have caused.

 

For the last several months things have been very fluidly changing daily, and we are still in discussions about the 2020 – 2021 Season. We are bound not only by Mid Florida, and Pop Warner but the County as well in regard to specific requirements that will need to be followed while parents, coaches, athletes, and anyone in attendance during practice and games.

 

Any communication that is coming from an outside source other than from Mid Florida and myself, which will be posted on our website and social media site is currently not accurate or final information. With everything still changing daily, our information is still in the works and we will get out final details of the season asap.  

 

No cancellations have been made yet, the season is still in review… I am adamantly working to find a solution with Mid Florida to find the safest and most fun way to have a Tackle and Flag Season. Inaccurate information has been dispersed throughout some members of the organization and I would like to notify the Bulldog Family that NO final decisions have been made, our season has NOT been cancelled and all season decisions will be made by Mid Florida once they have all feedback and information received from all associations. I will be posting more information as soon as Mid Florida provides us with final decision for the Mid Florida Season.

Hello Bulldog Families,
We apologize for the delay in sending out information for the season but due to COVID - 19 we have been awaiting updates and instruction by Mid Florida from Pop Warner Nationals. 
 
Currently the State of Florida is in Phase 2. Phase 2 for sports means we are under no-contact conditioning/play instructions. We are awaiting to see if the State of Florida will be changing phases before the season begins. We are also awaiting clearance from the County at this time to open our Practice and Game Fields, which are currently still closed to the public. We will continue to update you on how the season will start, and run, as we gather information from all areas through our website and social media.

2020 Season FAQ's:
 
When will conditioning begin? TBD - The league is looking to start at the end of August but we are awaiting the County to open Field. 
 
When will the season begin? Mid Florida tentatively has a start date of August 29, 2020
 
When is the registration deadline, and when will paperwork be turned in? Registration deadline is August 14, 2020. We will be doing our first contact less paperwork drop off on August 1, 2020 between 9am-11am. Parents will drive up with all copies needed. The drop off location will be on the far side of the field (Cheer Parking Lot). Please do not park or get out of your vehicle, parents are not permitted on the field at this time.  Please see the 2020 Registration Requirements info on the Football and Cheer pages with detailed information on each form and verification documents needed.  This is very important as if we need copies of any documents we will have limited access to a printer and we will not be able to have any parents or children on the field waiting for copies to be made. 
 
What are the safety precautions set in place? Please refer to the Return to Play Guidelines under the Forms Tab
 
If the season does not start or my child needs to be removed from the Roster due to my safety concerns with COVID - 19 will I be refunded? Yes, if you have any concerns due to COVID - 19 before the season starts or if the season does not start at all you will be given a full refund minus the $6.00 Blue Sombrero Processing Fee.

2020 Season Update



Hello Bulldog Family,

 

We would like to start off by saying we are so grateful for everyone’s patience during this pandemic and the uncharted waters this season we have faced.

Our volunteers have been working very hard during this time to find the safest, and most plausible season that we can have. After careful consideration, parent concerns, multiple uncertainties, and for the safety of our Bulldog family we have decided to cancel/push our Fall Tackle and Flag Season. Our board has been working very closely with Mid Florida to provide everyone with a SAFE, FUN, and FULL season. Unfortunately, with so many uncertainties and to make be sure we are ensuring the safety of our Bulldog family we are looking into different avenues.

We are still currently working diligently with Mid Florida regarding a Spring Tackle and Flag Season.

Please know this decision was not taken lightly and we understand this it is very heart breaking for our Bulldog family. We too are very heartbroken during this time and we will miss seeing all of you this Fall.

We will continue to keep our websites, and Social Media updated with the most current and accurate season information as it comes in. We are hoping we can have a complete Spring Season so we may be able see you all again soon.

Refunds will be sent out automatically to the registered and paid parents/guardians. These will be sent via mail in the form of a check. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email us at saintcloudyouthfootball@gmail.com.
